Id also like to add something that I thought was crazy when I saw it. This is a completely hand done oil painting. Nothing digital aside from scanning it in.

great painting. one of the best here. the only thing that bothers me a bit is that the eyes are too far to the left. Its not anatomically correct. Still, great image.

Obama is not Lincoln. He's not a myth or a god. He's Obama.

Again, I'm seconding kickstand! This is fucking mental. I really hate it.

So according to you Lincoln is a myth or a god? Hrm...
kickstand said on Monday, October 20th, 2008
Lincoln is the 2nd most mythologized American (after Washington), for sure. Obama is his own man. Putting Obama on a pedestal like that does him no good IMHO.
I can see why others like it, though, it's well-executed.

This is by far my favorite! I am huge Ron English fan and I think this is a breath of fresh in a world of serious Obama posters. I also don't think alot of people are making the right connections with this statement "HONEST ABE". Everyone should just relax it's art!

Extraordinary, mi amigo. I have this image on my iPod to display when I play my Obama mix!
I am honored to share this site with your extraordinary talent & vision. My work is the "Man of Hope", with Obama soaring from the White house as a sort of surrogate Superman. Please check out my piece if you would. I am certainly no professional- I am simply a middle school teacher, but I'm pretty proud of it & would love your opinion.

Just wanted to let you know that someone is trying to profit from your art. Did you give this person permission to alter and sell your image? http://www.zazzle.com/weoffermore/gifts?cg=196918861616767696&pg=21

Obama and others paid homage to Lincoln in the form of tributes and references during several of the events, starting with a commemorative train tour from Philadelphia insurance quotes, Pennsylvania to Washington, D.C. on January 17, 2009. The inaugural events held in Washington, D.C. from January 18 to January 21, 2009 included concerts, a national day of community service on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the swearing-in ceremony, luncheon and parade, inaugural balls, and the interfaith inaugural prayer service. The presidential oath as administered to Obama during his swearing-in ceremony on January 20 generic viagra strayed from the oath of office prescribed in the United States Constitution, which led to its re?administration the next evening.
In addition to a larger than usual celebrity attendance, the Presidential Inaugural Committee increased its outreach to ordinary citizens to encourage greater participation in inaugural events compared to participation in recent past inaugurations. The committee opened for the first time the entire length of the National Mall as the public viewing area for the swearing-in ceremony, sunglasses breaking with the tradition of past inaugurations.
